On the iplayer I thought it was a good set, but I thought it seemed less real and manic on the stage and obviously, bravo to James for his skills.

Good set, I just watched the show on the BBC, got 5 songs I think it was. Crowd were flat except for a few people, nice to see a girl of about 4/5 singing to Tolerate
Looked like a lame new festival to be honest... is it new or am I making that up? Heaven was nice to see live, hope it can manage to stick around for a while but nothing new they do seems to have long legs in the set lists nowadays.

Is the first gig where non-Manics outnumbered the Manics onstage?
Ireland seems to be a bad omen for the band lately. Nicky had to pull out of the Cork gig for similar reasons last year. The slight peaks and the deep troughs are a heartache. Life just stands still while also passing you by.

deffo missing a couple.
Finished on Design for Life also one im uploading which is slow on hotel internets. Actually a good little 'festival' honestly. Maybe the weather, which was un-irish. Probably more fans specifically for the Manics. Although a mainly 30-something crowd probably for Beck/Courtney Barnett.

Couldn't find the full set - but the bit I saw Jimmy was on top form. Most of all best wishes to Nick at what must be a difficult time. Family comes first.

The BBC4 highlights (which I assume is the same as what’s on Iplayer) only showed International Blue, You Stole the Sun, Tolerate, You Love Us and Hold Me Like a Heaven. Plus bits of The Breeders, Public Service Broadcasting and others.

iPlayer showed the whole set live. I would've thought they'd leave it like that and show highlights on BBC4.. not gone back to re-watch

I thought it was a good show, sounded great and James played alot more guitar than I expected. Distant colours was great live compared to eh on record. I thought the set list was great for the new album and greatest hits mix plus no surface! Thoroughly enjoyed the day, rocked up just before PSB who put on a wonderful set, Courtney Barnett was her usual greatness. Basically got in, got out home by 940! It's been a while since I've been in Belfast, it's looking good!
